On your path towards financial freedom, you will find that going through this journey alone is impossible. You would be silly to attempt to do this. Communities and mentorships are the best way to grow your wealth in the shortest amount of time possible. By being a part of like-minded communities who share your goals and values, you will better be able to network, collaborate, and do business with one another to not only grow yourself but also make connections with and help your peers. This is how success is done, this is how real and meaningful relationships are made, and this is how financial freedom is reached. There is no excuse to not be part of a group that can hold you accountable, help you reach your goals, and be there for you when you need it. Less than two weeks ago, I joined a mentorship called Subto with Pace Morby. For those of you who don’t know, Pace is THE creative finance real estate guy and his mentorship allows you direct access to him, his community, and Pace’s method’s for talking with sellers and locking up creatively financed real estate deals. My experience so far has propelled me down the road to financial freedom faster than I ever would have imagined.
My experience in my mentorship
From day one of being a part of the Subto mentorship, I shortly realized the community aspect alone was worth the price of admission. I immediately met a few amazing people in my market who I am currently already doing deals with! There are groups that collaborate based on what real estate markets you are in around the country for you to join, a big Facebook group for everyone to share their wins and post questions, tons of modules and content, and a million live zooms a week on various topics. Instantly, I now have access to a mountain of knowledge and resources I never would have gotten elsewhere. I can honestly say that being in a group like this is a little overwhelming still to this point. There is so much to absorb and so many people to meet its hard to choose how to use my time wisely without getting into an analysis paralysis-like state. It took me a few days to realize I should not be absorbing all the content right away. I need to be learning and then applying what I learn right away, and this concept is preached constantly within the group. By joining my mentorship, I am now confident in myself and my ability to grow because of the strong backing I now have in my corner. This is a huge reason to join a mentorship or like-minded community of individuals like I did. Simply put, they will provide constant and everlasting value to your life and business and motivate you to do the same for them and everyone else in your life. Mentorships are about giving more than you receive, and this principal reigns true above all else.
accountability partners
A huge perk of being in a community or mentorship is that people within the group are able to work with one another and hold each other accountable. A lot of people who don’t have this slack off, lose focus or motivation, and never reach their goals. It is vitally important you have someone or a group pushing you every day to get through what needs to get done with the expectation that you will do the same for them. This is the beauty of accountability partners. If one person wins, everyone wins! This is the goal and purpose of this kind of setting and the feeling of having someone who has your back and understands what you’re going through is a necessary motivation especially on the days you really feel like taking your foot off the gas pedal. With this type of community, if you don’t do what is necessary or expected of you, you risk disappointing the people in your community. This works wonders for your motivation levels and keeps you fresh and ready to go every day. No one wants to do everything alone even if you think you do. Humans by nature are social creatures and being in a community of supportive individuals with your best interest in mind is the most uplifting and positive environment you could put yourself in to achieve success!
Collaboration over competition
In my Subto mentorship, this principle is harped on and expected out of everyone. The traditional world teaches us how to compete and be competitive from a very young age. In school, most of the time we were always doing tests and projects alone competing to see who could score the highest and do the best. In the work force, everyone is competing for jobs and will do shady and underhanded things to screw their competition. The best way to grow and be successful is to get rid of this mindset right now and adopt a mindset of abundance. When you’re in a constant state of competitiveness, you are always trapped in a scarcity mindset fearful that others will surpass you or try to take what you have. This is truly a lonely and miserable place to be, and nothing good comes out of this type of mindset. When you allow yourself to let go of this competitiveness and instead adopt the ideology of collaboration, your world will start to change. You will start to see opportunities emerge from the chaos that was once your “competitive spirit”. You will make real relationships with people who actually want to see you succeed and will help you. As Brent Daniels of the TTP mentorships puts it, “Your vibe attracts your tribe”. If your vibe is being on edge, competitive, and guarded, the people you find yourself surrounded by will share those same qualities. The same can be said in a more positive light when you attract people who live on the collaboration side of the equation. This is what the right mentorships and communities are all about. Decide which side of the aisle makes more sense for you and I suggest finding your tribe as soon as possible to grow your wealth and reach financial freedom.
