Financial freedom doesn’t have to be complicated even though it’s incredibly difficult. Some people for one reason or another believe that you must be born with money to become wealthy, which is demonstrably untrue as 80% of millionaires in America are first-generation self-made. Others think that becoming wealthy isn’t for them because it’s “unrealistic”, or that to be wealthy you need to be extremely lucky. All of these are just excuses and lines to help people justify their lack of success. If only they knew how simple it is to build the wealth you always dreamed of with one key mindset shift. That mindset shift is the belief and manifestation that what you want to do is not only possible, but will be achieved by you by any means through unrelenting effort and persistence.
Sounds corny right?
You may be saying to yourself, “Yeah, what a load of hocus pocus! If it were that easy, why doesn’t everyone do it?!” Great question. Just because something is simple doesn’t mean it’s easy. To have unwavering belief in yourself and the ability to achieve wealth through all trials and tribulations is something seemingly impossible for the layman. After a failure or two, we as humans get frustrated, stop what we’re doing, and then move on to the next thing deeming wealth building to be impossible. What these people fail to realize is that anything you do is as hard as it ever will be just before you finally reach your goal. Life has a weird way of making you tap out right before the finish line. If you could just see it, you’d endure and keep on keeping on but because you can’t, you lose faith and give up. Please, trust me when I say that if this is you, you’re almost at the finish line of something big. Keep going, even if you have to crawl. You will get to where you want to be with impermeable self-confidence and relentless effort.
Be careful what you tell yourself
The things you say to yourself may not seem like more than just words coming out of your mouth, but they have a profound impact on your subconscious which affects your beliefs which in turn translates to your attitudes and actions. Telling yourself what everyone else tells themselves about becoming wealthy will ensure you never reach that coveted tier. Your subconscious mind controls everything without you even being aware, so you should be extra mindful of it before you develop the wrong beliefs and habits that’ll lead you down a path of emptiness and regret.
Three feet from gold
In the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, there is a story about a man mining for gold. The man puts forth tremendous effort and belief in himself, and eventually strikes a large ore of it. The man then goes on to purchase some heavy duty mining and lifting equipment with the little money he had, but could not find that gold again so that he could dig it up and have his fortune. Eventually, he became tired and frustrated and decided to give up and sell his mining equipment to a junker. That junker decided to bring in a professional to help him locate the gold where the man had been digging. With the aid of his help, he was able to strike and uncover the gold for himself three feet from where the man had stopped digging. The moral of this story is that when things are the hardest and you want to give up the most, that is when you should undoubtedly keep going. Things are always the hardest when you’re about to achieve something great. Don’t be the man who stopped digging. Learn from his mistake and ignite the burning desire inside you to achieve what the majority deem impossible. Simple. I know. But the quest is as challenging as it gets. Never give up and success will be inevitable!
