Reimagining What Is Possible

Possible and impossible are what you perceive them to be. The only insurmountable obstacle on the quest to achieving anything is your mindset. The barrier between what you can and can’t achieve is only hindered by the wall of self-limiting belief. Once you can train your mind to clear that hurdle, anything you could ever want, including financial freedom, is extremely possible. You may have heard the phrase, “when there is a will, there is a way”, and as I reflect on the past few years of my life, this phrase holds more and more weight. From a young age we are always told what we can and can’t achieve by adults enforcing their self-limiting beliefs onto children thinking that it is a safety net to set “realistic expectations” from the start. This practice is like cutting off a bird’s wings before it can learn to fly in the sense that the children who are told this will learn to not let their imagination soar and stick within the confines of societal norms. If we taught children differently from a young age instead of trying to shelter them from failure, there would be even more ingenuity in the world than there already is now. Depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, and stress all can stem from places of insecurity and self-doubt. These feelings are pushed onto people in today’s day in age under the guise of safety and protection. To unlock life’s fullest potential, you need to think big, make mistakes, get back up, and keep going at it. There is no way around it and if you try to shy away from it those terrible feelings of low self-worth are bound to creep into your life.

Possible, but not easy

The premise behind shying away from big audacious goals is that they are very hard to achieve and take a lot more effort than most people are willing to give. When you reimagine what is possible, you should not be limiting what you want to achieve. Rather, you need to understand and come to terms with the blood, sweat, and tears it will take to get to where you want to be from the beginning. Preparing yourself for the likely extremely difficult but highly rewarding trials and tribulations that come with reimagining what is possible will allow you to prepare for the road ahead, and ensure that you truly want to embark on the journey. We are all fortunate enough in America to be allotted unlimited freedom and endless possibilities for success, and there are so many avenues and opportunities from which to choose from. With this in mind, just because anything is possible doesn’t mean it won’t kick your ass because it will. I’m not trying to scare you out of taking action, reimagining possibilities, and chasing dreams, I just think its fair that you know what to expect going in. It’s not like what gurus will tell you online such as “you’ll make $1,000 a day after a short training”. Real life hits hard, and things are incredibly difficult. Life will knock you down and keep you down if you let it. The hardest paths require the strongest wills. This is why I preach mindset so much on this blog. Because mindset is the foundation for any sort of success you will ever have in anything you do. Without developing it and constantly improving, defeat will be just around the corner.

Failure isn’t the end, but rather a new beginning

Everyone is so afraid of failing. Failure inadvertently is a huge part of success because success could not be achieved without the lessons we learn from our failures. When you reimagine what is possible and develop your mindset, you’ll learn to embrace failure as a sign that you’re going in the right direction rather than as a sign that you should quit. I’ve learned so much from failure. I’ve learned what I can and cannot do on my own. I’ve learned my strengths and weaknesses. I’ve learned what I like doing and what I don’t like doing. And most importantly, I’ve fine-tuned a lot of my processes and made a lot of progress on my journey towards financial freedom. The road isn’t easy, but when you can shift your mindset to create your own reality, anything is possible. Embrace the challenge rather than run from it in fear of failure. This is the ultimate path to success, and it is a journey everyone has the ability to embark on.
